Susan McCaslin is a prize-winning poet who has published fourteen volumes of poetry and taught English and Creative Writing at Douglas College in New Westminster, B.C for twenty-three years.  Her most recent volumes include Lifting the Stone (Seraphim Editions, 2007) and Persephone Tours the Underground (Alfred Gustav Press, 2009).  She has edited two anthologies and is on the editorial board of Event: the Douglas College Review. Susan is a full-time writer living in Fort Langley, British Columbia who has recently completed a book-length memoir on mysticism and the poetics of mystical experience.  Her most recent volume of poetry, Demeter Goes Skydiving, will be published by the University of Alberta Press in the spring of 2011.
