Anne Sorbie was born in Paisley, Scotland. Her work has appeared in journals such as Geist, Other Voices and The Wascana Review and has been anthologized in Home and Away. Her first novel, Memoir of a Good Death, was published in October, 2010. Anne was editor of Dandelion Magazine, the oldest literary magazine in Alberta, shortly after it was rescued in its 25th year by Aritha van Herk and Fred Wah. She worked on the magazine as a graduate student while it was newly incorporated into the Creative Writing Program the University of Calgary (issues 26.1 - 27.2). After completing her MA in Creative Writing she volunteered on the Board for the magazine and taught English at Red Deer College. Anne lives in Calgary.
