Elizabeth Hay's eight books include short fiction, creative non-fiction, and four novels, including the Giller Prize-winning Late Nights on Air. Her most recent novel is Alone in the Classroom. She was born in Owen Sound, Ontario, worked for some years as a radio broadcaster, and now writes full-time in Ottawa.
"[Hay] is a master of characterization. In their fallibility, their moral struggles and their conflicted desires, the characters in
Alone in the Classroom ring utterly true."
